Why Full Body Workouts

Full Body, 2-3 days per week, for the rest of your life

Why Full Body Workouts?

Over the years I’ve built all kinds of programs. 4 day, 6 day, Upper/Lower splits, 20 minute sessions, 2 hour sessions, pre game, post game, and everything in between.

Ultimately, I’ve come to one conclusion.

For almost everyone - full body workouts are the answer!

Full-body training performed 2–3 days per week is one of the most effective and sustainable approaches for both athletes and busy adults.

The biggest advantage is efficiency. Training the entire body each session ensures all major movement patterns (double leg, single leg, upper body push, upper body pull) are consistently trained. You make sure nothing gets left out.

Consistency ultimately drives results.

A program you can stick to year-round will always outperform a split that’s hard to maintain.

Full-body training lowers the barrier to entry, minimizes missed sessions, and delivers results without unnecessary complexity.

The last major benefit is recovery!

Spreading volume across fewer sessions allows for higher-quality work while providing ample recovery between training days. This is especially important for athletes who also practice or compete, and for adults managing stress, sleep, and limited recovery capacity.

From a sport performance standpoint, full-body workouts better reflect how the human body actually moves. Sports and daily life rarely isolate muscles; they demand coordination, force transfer, and total-body strength. Training this way improves athleticism, reduces weak links, and forces quality movement under fatigue.

How to Get Started

I recently launched the Strong For Life Program via the Train Heroic App.

Do you ever walk into the gym and have no idea where to start? Or maybe that friction stops you from going to the gym at all!

For $30 per month (~$1 per day) you will receive 3 full body workouts per week directly to your app.
